Ecotone paint reviews11/29/2022 ![]() It's taken so much time to get this far that I almost wish I just bought a new crib instead. And the semi-gloss is not semi-gloss at all, it's more of a chalk paint feel with an eggshell sheen. It also doesn't dry smooth like other paints - you can see all the brush strokes. I'm now one coat primer and 2 coats of paint in, and there still isn't adequate coverage / I can see the old color coming through. And I followed all the instructions - I sanded first, used a tack cloth, got the expensive paintbrush to use, even used a coat of primer - which went on much more nicely than the paint itself. I truly don't understand how this paint can be thick, runny, streaky, sticky, and drippy all at the same time. The texture while painting with this is more akin to Elmer's Glue and it starts to dry so quickly that by the time you get around a single 4-sided crib post, the brush starts picking up dried little bits from the first side you painted and creating crevices that when you try to paint over to make smooth again, pick up more dried chunks and create an uneven texture. I'm no painting novice I have painted other furniture and walls before and have used a variety of paint brands. ECOTONE PAINT REVIEWS SKINI got the semi-gloss paint from the Lullaby collection to paint a second-hand crib, and while I love that it's non-toxic, there is zero smell, and it comes off your skin easily with soap and water, the quality of the paint is baffling. ![]()
